Define acceptance before ordering
Identify the applicable specifications and revisions, required inspection records, electrical test scope and any customer-specific requirements. Standards references should be agreed for the actual product; they should not be treated as a substitute for a complete drawing.
Keep revisions traceable
Use one controlled package for fabrication and purchasing. Changes to materials, layer construction or critical dimensions need documented approval. Preserve the relationship between the ordered part, delivered lot and test evidence.
Build a realistic schedule
Allow time for engineering questions, material readiness, production, test and logistics. A requested arrival date differs from a manufacturing lead time. Confirm the start event and shipment terms in the quotation.
Delivery and receiving
Agree packaging that protects flexible spans, contact surfaces and moisture-sensitive materials where relevant. At receiving, verify part identification, quantity, packaging condition and the required reports before release to assembly.
