Review combinations, not isolated limits
Layer count, copper thickness, trace geometry, holes and material selection interact. A feature that is feasible by itself may not be compatible with the full construction. Submit the actual stackup and drawing for review rather than selecting limits independently.
Requirements to include
Provide rigid and flex layer counts, finished thickness by region, minimum trace and spacing, smallest holes, via structure, copper weights, materials, finish and impedance targets. Also identify dynamic motion, environmental exposure and acceptance requirements.
Turn capability questions into decisions
For each critical feature, record the requested value, proposed process, available tolerance and validation method. Separate a design target from a supplier-confirmed capability. Keep approved alternatives visible in the fabrication drawing.
Commercial planning
State prototype and production quantities, desired shipment date and documentation needs. Material availability, tooling, process complexity and testing influence the schedule. Firm limits and delivery commitments require a project-specific quotation.
